Capsicums are native to the American continent and have been cultivated since 3000 BC. This large variety of chilli comes in green, red and yellow colours. They can be harvested when they're green or when they ripen and become red or yellow. But unlike chillies, they should not be left on the plant until they become dry. Capsicums have become an integral part of our cuisine, from pizzas and sandwiches to curries.
