The curry tree is native to India and Sri Lanka and its leaves are used predominantly in Indian cuisine, where the leaves usually fried along with chopped onions in the first stage of preparation. Because of its aromatic properties, curry plants are also used in potpourri, scents and air fresheners. Curry plants are best grown through propagation from stem cuttings.
